Learn about our brains and how they aim to make us happy and why creativity is the key to get us out of boredom.
Part 1: Our memories shape our identity, influence our decisions, and define our understanding of the world. However, what if everything we remember is, to some extent, false?
Understanding the fallibility of memory is crucial in distinguishing between reality and truth—two concepts that are often mistaken as interchangeable but are, in fact, fundamentally different.
Our brains are incredible pattern-recognition machines. They build expectations, create shortcuts, and help us navigate the world efficiently. However, these mental shortcuts—known as heuristics and biases—can often lead us astray.
To break free, we must actively challenge our patterns of thinking, recognise the illusions we cling to, and adopt a fresh vision of the world. When we allow ourselves to be inspired by the unexpected, we open the door to new possibilities, fresh ideas, and groundbreaking innovation.
Part 2: It's OK to Fail - Why can it be so hard to break free with something new?
Using the knowledge of how the brain works, you can develop your own creative technique. In this podcast we’ll show you that “There is only your way”. There is no right or wrong. One spiritual principle is that "you need do nothing" - In other words, let innovative solutions present themselves spontaneously or miraculously.
And, failure is an integral part of human creativity—a process that thrives on breaking rules and thinking differently. Unlike intelligence, which is about following known rules to reach established solutions, creativity pushes boundaries, explores the unknown, and opens doors to new possibilities.
