IN THIS LESSON

Carl Jung’s concept of the shadow illuminates this truth. The shadow represents the hidden, often unconscious aspects of ourselves—thoughts, emotions, and desires that we may repress or deny. However, these aspects never truly leave us. Instead, they influence our behaviours, reactions, and relationships from beneath the surface. By acknowledging and integrating our shadow, we can reclaim the energy it holds, transforming fear and resistance into self-awareness and growth.

When we accept that ideas leave not their source, we recognise that every belief we hold originates from somewhere—our upbringing, culture, past experiences, or even societal conditioning. This awareness invites us to question which thoughts serve us and which limit our potential. Rather than being passive recipients of our mental patterns, we can actively shape our thinking, aligning our minds with truth, empowerment, and transformation.
